It was the worst of times, it was the best of times
.Banff life has been exceptional.
work that makes money, and another for memories
paddle with two oars, for more than just gratuities
the Bow and the Spray offering places to play
it takes no genius to find a place to stay.
So set up the trade shows
and play in the raft holes
find solace in rock walls
their grips to make you grimace
bring twin ropes
climb pitches
for hopes their new heights bring new visions,
to see further west
...
or east,
or wherever.
Find flight without feathers
seek smoke without fires
heat from a flame can push the bravest
away
this is for freedom
for exploration
recreation.
I hope to see more

Everlasting existence based on linguistics
The prior post happened to come from the depths
the current title may be misleading
there is no science here
I persist
but not in the pursuit of greater scientific knowledge
still struck by curiosity
are the page views people?
if you read this... say hi?
an endeavour on my part
to discover the online community
locked in parenthesis on a blogger stats page
herein lost without poetic structure
only short sentences lacking proper prose
perhaps it is worth it to propose a greeting and an idea
if once read, help to create a thread, which will offer words from inside my head
...
nonsense
early in the morning
with funk music playing
the buzz is fading
no more false rhyming

Dragon Born
For the darkness.
the heroes came to our sides
who seek out dragons for slaying
but had only a torch to bring light.
hidden from the aura of the bright light cast,
beware what is behind the shadowy veil of its brilliance.
we keep the most dangerous, closest to our hearts
believe that it is mine, your light is not welcome
a flame which will go out, a flame which will pass.
and my dragons will grow, tucked into my shadows
they are mine, and their they will keep
...
and in keeping to themselves
I can keep to mine also
to tend the sheep, for dragons must eat.
life is lusting for a hero with a worth to match
a warrior bearing warriors hearts
wielding more than just torches
beware though my dragons will come
with fierce intent, vicious ruby eyes hell bent
hide thickened by the eternal night
tattered wings more capable than appearance could belie
beware the dragon, for when it comes
warriors hearts are its claim
....
the darkness will pass
this evil retreat
light will be shone
I tell you
the legend still grows.
