Better Than I've Ever Been

Every day begins now
A song for inspiration will be the length prescribed
Better than I've ever been
no doubt in my mind
when I think of you
I think of time
a man made unit to measure distance
in space there is no clock
no end, no beginning
it just is
we just are
Not oft will I speak of these things
calling us meant to be
you have made me believe
in magic, in forever
I removed the phrase from my life
I will love you forever
after the first forever ended too soon
it turns out no lies were spoken
just an eight year breath to be had
so from now until death
I know we will not part
paraphrase a sacred tome
my heart will ne'er be alone
we will dance a lovers dance
call daily from across a country
give hope a new meaning
These words are placed without pen
in hope that you will read them
I have no premonitions, no expectations
just a desire to record what moves through my brain
not poetry, hardly
just a free flow of so called verses to remind me of your beauty
your hand in mind forever more
till tomorrow, and beyond
